Bonfiglioli Vectron


Contribution to the G.EN.ESI Project

Bonfiglioli Vectron contribute to both the specification and testing of the software tools. This contribution ensures that the tools have been industrially tested and refined for commercial application.

During work package 4 Bonfiglioli Vectron will use the G.EN.ESI platform for the design and development of different electrical machines. Purpose of this application is testing the robustness of the platform and the capabilities to reach the sustainability results for the product in the whole product life cycle, i.e. an evaluation of the software usability, the items to improve the tools, and the results displayed.

Interest and Expectations from the G.EN.ESI Project

Bonfiglioli Vectron intends to use the G.EN.ESI platform to expand the expert knowledge about sustainability issues and to compare different machine types in terms of overall efficiency and sustainability, e.g. life cycle cost, environmental impact, carbon footprint etc.

Related and Relevant Work

Bonfiglioli Vectron were  founded in 1986 as a manufacturing unit of a textile machine manufacturer, developing specialised drive solutions for individual needs. Since then the company have applied their in-depth knowledge to various applications and have become specialists in electrical drive engineering and electrical motors. They now offer highly advanced drive solutions characterized by small device dimensions, high efficiency ratings and highly-dynamic standard procedures.

Operating in the electrical drive industry, this company intuitively understands the challenges and opportunities offered by environmental legislation and is used to operating in a market place where energy efficiency is paramount. This experience is greatly valuable to the G.EN.ESI Project
